Jason, one of their 5th graders, had created a stop motion lego video earlier in the year using the Stop Motion app and iMovie and his teachers were so impressed with it they asked him to demo this process for all of the language arts classes. I was in Mary Ann's room for one of the demos and he did an amazing job.
After the demo, students were put into groups of 4 or 5 and each group was given a bag of legos. They were asked to create a scenario with a beginning, middle and end using just the legos in the bag, Stop Motion and iMovie. Further, they were told that the iMovie could have titles and music, but they were not allowed to use voice overs that explained what was happening in their video.
